Our Story

For over 10 years, Daarul Ilm Li Diroosati Ssunnah under it's founder Al-Ustaadh Ridwan Shobowale (Abu Abdullah), has remained committed to nurturing students through sound Islamic education and strong character. We provide a structured learning environment where students grow spiritually, academically, and morally according to the Qur'an and the Sunnah.

What began with fewer than 20 students has grown into a thriving institution serving more than 200 students today.

Through every stage of our journey, our guiding principles have remained unchanged. We have consistently risen to meet the needs and expectations placed before us, embracing every challenge as an opportunity to grow, improve, and serve our students better.

Ten years of growth. One unwavering commitment.

What Our Clients Say About Us

Alhaji S. Akinlabi

This Madrosah focuses not on merely memorizing the Qur'an and Arabic, which are also very important, but places conscious emphasis on aligning the students' aqeedah with that of the righteous predecessors (the salafs) characterised by being a balanced muslim and devoid of any form of extremism. The discplined approach to learning is what makes it to stand out among its peers.

Daarul'ilm li Diroosati ssunnah is, by the permission of Allaah, a Madrasah I would wholeheartedly recommend to any parent seeking a sound Islamic foundation and nurturing environment for their child.

What makes this Madrasah particularly commendable is its commitment to instilling in its students a firm understanding of the Qur’aan and Sunnah, while also equipping them with the knowledge and practical guidance needed to understand, apply, and live by these teachings in the best possible manner.

At a time when moral decadence is increasingly prevalent in our society, the need for an educational environment that nurtures children upon sound Islamic values cannot be overstated. Daarul'ilm li Diroosati ssunnah strives to fulfil this responsibility by raising children upon the guidance of our Rabb, Allaah (SWT), the teachings of His noble Messenger, Muhammad (SAW), and the understanding and example of the pious predecessors (Salaf).

Alhamdulillaah, the journey thus far has been a deeply encouraging one. I am grateful for the efforts, dedication, and sacrifices of the management and staff in their continuous pursuit of bringing out the best in our children and nurturing them upon qualities and values that, by Allaah’s permission, will benefit them in this life and the Hereafter.

May Allaah (SWT) continue to strengthen the management, teachers, and entire staff of Daarul'ilm li Diroosati ssunnah. May He bless their efforts, increase them in sincerity and steadfastness, and make this noble endeavour a lasting source of benefit for generations to come.

May Allaah grant us children who are righteous, knowledgeable, upright, and a source of continual reward for their parents. Aameen.

My experience with the madrasah began in Nigeria, where my children benefited greatly from the Quranic and Islamic education they received. They enjoyed their learning so much that they always looked forward to attending their classes and spending time at the madrasah.

When we relocated to the United Kingdom, I was determined not to let their learning journey stop. I contacted the Ustaz, and he kindly continued teaching my children despite the challenges of continuing the lessons remotely. I truly appreciate his dedication, patience, and commitment to ensuring that my children remain connected to the madrasah and continue their Quranic education.

I am hopeful that, with consistency and perseverance, my children will eventually have the opportunity to return to Nigeria and participate in a Walimah Quran celebration with the madrasah.

That would be a very special and rewarding moment for our family and a wonderful reflection of the journey they started.

Alhamdulillah, our experience with Daarul’ilm li Diroosati Ssunnah over the past two years, since enrolling our three kids, has been very positive and rewarding. Despite the learning environment being entirely virtual, which comes with its own challenges, we have been impressed by the consistency, dedication and commitment demonstrated by Ustadh Ridwan (Director) in ensuring our children remain engaged and continue to make meaningful progress.

Ustadh Ridwan is an exemplary and disciplined teacher who goes beyond simply teaching the Qur’an, but has a genuine interest in our children’s learning progress, their understanding of what is being taught, and most importantly, how they apply the teachings of the Qur’an in their daily lives. His patience, consistency, discipline, and commitment to nurturing good character are qualities we greatly appreciate as parents.

It is reassuring as parents to know that our children are being guided by someone who understands that Qur’anic education extends beyond memorization to building good manners, discipline, responsibility, and a strong connection with the teachings of Islam.

We are grateful for the positive impact Daarul’ilm li Diroosati SSunnah has had on our children over the past 2 years and pray that Allah continues to bless the institution, its teachers, and everyone contributing to this important work. May Allah reward you all abundantly and grant the madrasah continued growth and success in this world and the hereafter.

A Truly Remarkable Learning Experience

Our experience with the Madrasa has been truly lovely and rewarding. We have watched our children grow not only in their knowledge of the Qur’an through Hifz, but also in their understanding of Hadith, Seerah, and Arabiyah.

What particularly stands out to us is the Madrasa’s holistic approach to education. It is one thing to acquire knowledge, but it is another thing to develop the morals, character, discipline, and wisdom needed to navigate and apply that knowledge in life. This is an aspect we deeply appreciate about the Madrasa.

The children are taught not only what to learn, but also how to conduct themselves, respect others, and allow Islamic knowledge to reflect in their behaviour and everyday lives. Seeing this development in our children has been very encouraging and reassuring as parents.

The dedication of the Mudir and the teachers is evident in the progress, confidence, character, and love for Islam that we see in our children. We are sincerely grateful for the nurturing environment and the positive impact the Madrasa continues to have on their lives.

It has been a beautiful and fulfilling journey so far, and we are proud to be part of this community. May Allah continue to bless the Madrasa, its teachers and administrators, and grant them greater success in nurturing generations of knowledgeable, well-mannered, disciplined, and upright Muslims. Ameen.
